Adaeze Elonu

MARSHALL, Texas – Roy Butler and Adaeze Elonu are the ETBUSports.com Athletes of the Week for their respective play this past week.  Butler had another strong performance for football while Elonu was named to the ASC All-Tournament team.

Adaeze Elonu set career highs in the American Southwest Conference championship tournament and finished with 34 kills and 23 overall blocks in four matches played.  In a 3-1 elimination match loss to Texas-Dallas, she posted a career-high 15 kills with a .385 hitting percentage.  In the match before, a 3-2 come from behind win over Texas Lutheran, she posted nine kills and a career-high eight blocks (4 solo, 4 assisted).  She also hit .348 vs. TLU and had only one attacking error.  In a 3-1 opening match win over Schreiner, she had seven assisted blocks.  For her play, she was named the All-ASC Tournament team.
