Monty Grays

MARSHALL, Texas – The etbusports.com athletes of the week  this week are sophomore Monty Grays for men’s basketball and senior Brandace Latin for women’s basketball.  This is the second award for the basketball season for athletes of the week.

Male Athlete of the Week: Monty Grays - Men's Basketball

Monty Grays – Sophomore – Everman, Texas –Everman HS

Grays had a hot hand from the three-point line going 3-of-5 in two games hitting all three three-pointers against Hardin-Simmons.  Grays netted 13 points in a four-point loss to Hardin-Simmons and then 10 points and three assists in the win over Rust College.  In the game vs. Rust, he was 4-of-5 from the floor and then 2-of-2 from the stripe.  He averaged 20 minutes of play per game and 11.5 points per game.  He was 9-of-14 from the floor (.643) in two games.
