Brandace Latin

MARSHALL, Texas – The etbusports.com athletes of the week  this week are sophomore Monty Grays for men’s basketball and senior Brandace Latin for women’s basketball.  This is the second award for the basketball season for athletes of the week.

Female Athlete of the Week: Brandace Latin (WBB)

Brandace Latin – Senior – Shreveport, La. – C.E. Byrd HS

Latin broke out for 17 points, scoring 12 in the second half, leading ETBU in a come-from-behind win over Rust College.  Down five points with 6:18 left to play in the game, Latin started a 15-9 run scoring the first five points off of her own defensive rebound and then stealing the ball and hitting 1-of-2 from the stripe.  She was 7-of-9 from the foul line overall and had six rebounds and three steals.  In her first game of the week vs. Hardin-Simmons, she recorded two points and three rebounds in the ASC loss.
