MARSHALL, Texas – Claiming an American Southwest Conference individual championship, Cody Blankenship is the East Texas Baptist University/Gateway Tire & Service Center Male Athlete of the Week.  Blakenship won the high jump on Friday at the ASC Championship track & field meet.

Blankenship cleared 6’8.75” to win the field over five other participants with his best height of the year.  His leap was over four inches more than the second place finisher and now is 14th in the nation.
