Dylan Augustine

MARSHALL, Texas – Leading East Texas Baptist University to their first home American Southwest Conference win in Ornelas Gym on Saturday, Dylan Augustine is the Gateway Tire and Service Center’s Male Athlete of the Week.  Augustine scored a career-high 22 points in the win over Ozarks, 84-70.

Augustine made six three-pointers on 10 attempts for 22 points leading ETBU to their seventh win of the year.  The 22 points is the most by any ETBU player this year.  He was a key player in a 13-2 run to pull away from Ozarks after they came within two, 21-19.  In just over two minutes, he hit three three-pointers to swing the momentum back to ETBU.  He shot .615 overall in the game going 8-of-13 from the floor.  In the loss to UT-Tyler, he was a perfect 4-of-4 from the foul line.

ETBU is now 7-11 and 5-10 in the ASC.
