Listen to Behind Tiger Lines w/T.J. Barnes

Senior women’s tennis player Kayla Franklin is from a small town just outside of McKinney, Texas, called Princeton. She is a junior college transfer that wanted to explore bigger and better things during her collegiate career.

“I wanted to broaden my horizon so I started looking around and found ETBU,” says Franklin. “I took a visit here and fell in love. A few days after getting accepted I was browsing the website and found out ETBU had a new tennis program and decided why not play college tennis.”

Three years later Kayla is the captain of the team and has helped to lay a foundation for the future. Right now she is prepping for her first match of the season on February 14 against Schreiner. “I’m just working on the little things because I know those turn into the big things,” says Franklin.

She graduates in May with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology.
